CAMP FALLUJAH, Iraq (Nov. 21, 2006)- Marines from C Company, 2nd Tank Battalion, Regimental Combat Team 5 let loose with the M-1A1 Main Battle Tank's 120 mm main gun. Tankers recently fired on Camp Fallujah's Eagle Range to zero all their weapons, including lanyard firing some tanks for their first shot. Tankers said all the maintenance and care that goes into keeping the tank rolling is worth the effort when they get the chance to fire the Marine Corps' largest direct-fire weapon.

AL ASAD, Iraq (July 31, 2007) – Marines of Battery F, 2nd Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment launch rockets during a firing exercise. The HIMARS is the first of its kind in the Marine Corps and killed 25 enemy combatants and assisted in the capture of 47 more last month. AL TAQADDUM, Iraq (Dec. 6, 2007) – A truck from Battery F, 2nd Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment, prepares for a “dry fire” session to test the firing capabilities of the HIMARS. This weapons system can fire all current and future missiles that fall under the multiple launch rocket system munitions family. The Marines of Battery F are the first to use the system in Iraq.
